Healing for Women After Cancer
March 18 at 10:00 am-3:00 pmFree
The Rev. Joyce Parry-Moore is hosting a one-day symposium, Healing For Women After Cancer Using Creative Arts Therapies, to help cancer survivors and their loved ones heal emotionally after cancer. Emotional healing can take far longer than physical healing, as Parry-Moore experienced firsthand during her own bout with breast cancer in 2006. This symposium aims to guide cancer survivors through the healing process that happens after they have completed medical protocols. Cancer survivors and their loved ones alike will benefit from Healing For Women After Cancer Using Creative Arts Therapies.
Healing For Women After Cancer Using Creative Arts Therapies will take place at St. Mark’s Cathedral (10th Ave E, Seattle, WA) on Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The symposium includes an interdisciplinary panel of artists, medical professionals, and cancer survivors, featuring Dr. Kristine Rinn, oncologist at Swedish Cancer Center; Maggie Yowell, therapist at Valley Cities; and The Rev. Joyce Parry-Moore, rector at St. James Episcopal Church. Opportunities will abound for movement, writing, visual art, and sharing personal stories.
Registration costs $20/person and includes a catered lunch from Volunteer Park Cafe. Those interested can RSVP below. For more information, please email email@example.com or call 510-710-0016.
